Printing and Production Operative

Company – ARC Workwear & PPE Ltd

Location – Sherburn in Elmet Industrial Estate

Hours – 34.5-37 hours a week

Job Summary

We have an exciting vacancy become available for a trainee printing and production operative within our well- established family run business.

The successful candidate will be focusing on printing and embroidery techniques to brand our products to a high standard for our clients. The successful candidate will work in all areas of production to meet the needs of the clients.

Job Role

  • Operate and maintain printing machines
  • Operate and maintain embroidery machines
  • Prepare customer logos on design software.
  • Provide high quality service for our customers, taking extra care to attention to detail
  • Sign in deliveries, report stock intake on Sage. (Training provided)
  • Prepare and pack orders
  • Report to company director
  • Be willing to work in all areas of operations as required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office, Sage. (Desired but not essential)
  • Have some knowledge of Wilcom, CorelDraw and Photoshop software.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

ARC Workwear & PPE Ltd is a company which operates sub- companies, all focused on printing and branding and all operated from the same unit. Duties may overlap between companies as we work collaboratively together.

We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail, is a team player and has the ability to work without supervision.  The successful candidate needs to have a positive attitude to working, be proactive, responsible, reliable, enthusiastic and flexible.

Initially this role will be a supportive role, but as we are a rapidly growing business, depending on performance, this position could lead to a more established supervisory role in the future.

Trainee Printing and Production Operative

Company – Merch Stall Ltd
Location – Sherburn in Elmet Industrial Estate
Hours – 34.5-37 hours a week

We pride ourselves on the quality of work that we provide from initial customer care through to design, production, time keeping and final handovers. We have a passion to work as a team to provide the best all round service for our customers.

Job summary

We have an exciting vacancy become available for a printing and production operative within our well-established family run business.

The successful candidate will be working predominantly using the screen-printing technique to provide high standard, great quality garments for our clients. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work in alternative ways of printing as well as embroidery and will be required to work in all areas of operations.

Job Role

  • Your role will be to work on our printing and embroidery machines to complete customer jobs to a high quality and accurate standard. This will include using design software to create labels ready for branding.
  • You will be required to run and maintain necessary machinery.
  • You will be expected to work in all areas of the business to support overall operations.
  • You will have good knowledge of Microsoft office and preferably an awareness of programs such as Sage, Wilcom, Coraldraw and Photoshop. Desirable but not essential.
  • You will adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • You will report to the director of operations.
  • Experience is not essential and full training will be given.
  • Opportunity to take part in an apprenticeship at Leeds city college on a Print Technician course with supportive mentors, monthly day release to college and onsite mentoring.

Qualification Requirements: Level 4 or above in English and Maths.

Merch Stall Ltd is a company which operates under ARC Workwear & PPE Ltd, and duties may overlap between companies, all based in the same unit.

Knowledge and/or experience in screen printing is desired.
